Fluid Roots
2023–Present | Trentino–Alto Adige, Italy
Long-term site-based ecological inquiry
Fluid Roots traces how vegetative systems occupy and adapt within managed river corridors over time. Developed through sustained return to engineered riparian margins in Trentino-Alto Adige, the project examines how plants register disturbance, hydraulic control, seasonal fluctuation, and infrastructural constraint. Through repeated observation, the work reveals shifting patterns of growth and occupation within waterways increasingly shaped by climatic instability, environmental force, and human intervention—where river, margin, and time intersect.
